Get ready for next week's Dublin Climate Summit
Register now: Jean Rogers, Gabriel Kra, Iggy Bassi and others join Ireland’s Prime Minister Micheal Martin to discuss the new pace of energy transition.
With global markets tanking and Europe raising the stakes against Russia with an oil embargo this week, the potential for meaningful setbacks in the fight against global warming is greater than ever.
Against this backdrop, Callaway Climate Insights is excited to announce our second Dublin Climate Summit next week on Thursday, May 12, and the first one to be held in person in Ireland, as well as virtually.
We’ve assembled an A-list of international speakers and sponsors, including Jean Rogers, senior managing director at Blackstone (BX), Paschal Donohoe, president of the Eurogroup of finance ministers, Iggy Bassi, CEO of climate intelligence company Cervest, and Gabriel Kra, managing director of Prelude Ventures. The conference will be opened by Ireland’s Taoiseach, Micheal Martin.
Kay Harrison, New Zealand’s minister for climate change will also be there, discussing the impact of climate change in the Asia-Pacific region, and what governments can do to speed the transition process.
We’ll also discuss the roles and responsibilities of the media in covering the energy transition story and the impact of global warming with Irish television presenter Miriam O’Callaghan leading a panel of experts from Irish public service broadcaster RTE and The Independent, our media partner.
Details on the event and registration forms for both in-person and virtual attendees is available here: The Dublin Climate Summit 2022. Attendance is free!
Stephen Rae, our European bureau chief, partner and co-host of the summit, and our team in Dublin and I are thrilled to finally be able to hold a live conference, and it couldn’t come at a more vital time.
