Somewhere in our apartment is one of the cutest pictures of our children. It’s my daughter at about 7 or 8 standing next to a display board she had done at school about that year’s Earth Day. She had a smile on her face that said she had done a good job.

And she had. The theme that year was the loss of forests and animals due to expansion of agricultural lands, particularly in Brazil. My wife and I were very proud of her drawings and text.
