Ha yes. I’m happy to stay here. And maybe the fires will scare everyone else away.

If there was an award for the person I know with the best attitude on life, I think you might win that one, Dave. (And btw, agree w/you. Not going anywhere - I say, as the winds are whipping up a few new fires here in San Diego.)

David, There is a lot of meat in your last newsletter. Four very significant articles. Thanks. When writing my book on global warming I noted how much the IPCC relied on carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) to offset CO2 emissions that can't be prevented, like those from aircraft. However, I also noted how CCS efforts to date (including growing grass that can be burned in power plant to produce electricity then using CCS to sequester the emissions (ie: BECCS) have not been cost-effective and/or scalable so we have a real problem that demands even more effort to cut emissions. But now US backtracking on climate will continue harming all of humanity. Its sad and tragic. --Rich

Well, I guess we California retired people will be staying in California. No touring other states in our Bolt or Equinox EVs. We can probably go to Washington State or Oregon, but nothing else. It's really okay, we didn't want to tour the red states to get to New York City, New Jersey, or Cambridge, MA.
