It can be very hard to clean something like this.

Last week, I was watching CNN’s coverage of the Gaza protests at Columbia University, which is very near my New York City home. Their reporting was excellent, made especially good because they had a student from the university’s journalism school on the campus who was feeding video and commentary to the control room.

As is always the case, though — hey, CNN has to fund its programming — the network would go to ads. Most of it was happy-happy hype for various drugs (the audience is largely made up of old geezers like me) but there was one that truly annoyed me.
