Why an even bigger offshore wind boom is blowing our way
As new areas enter the arena, the climate act adds a boost of beneficial breezes.
The public has until Sept. 2 to comment on two proposed wind energy sites in the Gulf of Mexico. One area is 24 nautical miles off the coast of Galveston, Texas and has the potential to power 2.3 million homes with clean wind energy.
