Paul Hutton and Cranfield Aerospace hope to fly a small plane on hydrogen fuel tanks by 2025. The UK government is betting on them.
Jet aircraft would require complete redesign for liquid hydrogen fuel. A more promising retrofit concept is being pursued by another British company adapting jet engines to run on reacted ammonia fuel which can be stored in more conventional tanks.
good point....I think that's why they are avoiding jets......staying small....interested in the other British company.....you have a name?
